Mount Dora is probably best known for its festivals, including the Mount Dora Art Festival. It also offers a historic downtown area with unique shops and restaurants.

Downtown Eustis is coming into its element. Several shops and eateries have opened up over the past several years. The historic area is thriving as it offers a little bit for every person. Eustis sits on the shore of Lake Eustis, a picturesque lake connected to Lake Dora by the Dora canal, a scenic 1/2 mile waterway. Don't miss the First Friday Festivals, themed for each month.

Tavares, the government seat of the Lake County, completes the Golden Triangle. Wooten park along the shores of Lake Dora has a magnificent playground for children and is the site of several events throughout the year including the Antique Boat Festival and a Day out with Thomas. Enjoy a bit of Irish flavor at O'Keefe's, an Irish pub and restaurant, or head over to Gracie's Back Porch Cafe for a relaxing meal.

This area of Lake County is bordered by the Ocala National Forest. A perfect place for the nature lover and adventurer. There are numerous hiking trails, crystal clear springs and camp sites.
